Developments
in the media and communication areas are moving
at such a pace that academics need a journal
which allows them to publish academic work
relevant to current practices before those
practices become outdated or at least old
news. While media studies generally are well-catered
for by academic journals, growth areas such
as journalism, public relations, media production
and digital media need a forum, and the environment,
where academics can engage in the discussion
and debate relevant to their emerging disciplines.
Journal articles will be subject to external assessment, that is, assessment by at least one reviewer who is independent of the journal's editorial board. The National Library of Australia has declared this site of national significance and has stored its contents as part of its PANDORA (Preserving and Accessing Networked Documentary Resources of Australia) Archive. |
